IF you wanted to list the material things that underpin a good life you’d suggest something like a stable job, a well-resourced family, and good health.

A better-educated person gets a better shot at income, happiness and good health. The more educated a nation is as a whole, the stronger and more prosperous is its economy, and its social and cultural life is richer and more tolerant.
Not surprising then, nations such as ours try to maximise the education achievement of the young.
We make schooling compulsory, all the way to Form 5. We then make every effort to encourage students to go on to vocational education or university to further their skills and knowledge.
