Caring Is Rewarding.
Helping others has always been something I lived for. There wasn’t a day that I did not volunteer to help out my teacher during recess or help an old lady read what a map said in fine print.
I am a genuine people person, or so I so I am told. I was never afraid of saying hello to someone new and asking where they got that amazing jacket. I never did show any signs of fear or anxiety, I apparently overflowed with optimism and an endearing smile. I cannot explain to you how much joy and pleasure I received when I got a ‘Thank You’ or ‘I couldn’t have done it without you’. I felt accomplished and needed. for when I was younger I felt left out and unloved, me being an ugly duckling who didn’t bloom until she was in the 9th grade. I was disrespected and ridiculed for years, though it never dampen my will to give and help others. Those who I assisted said that one day I’ll believe I was beautiful and all of my good deeds would be paid.
They weren’t wrong. I am able to look in the mirror and see a human, not adisfigurement. Though be warned, I was known and still am known to be overly harsh on myself, so don’t be surprised of what you see in my pictures.
My point is that accommodating others helped me grow into the young woman I am today, I still am not tired of doing what I do, helping others. It really builds character and self-confidence, self -worth, and most of all, the courage to help and save those in need, without hesitation.
Hopefully you’ll learned something about helping others and how it can reward you in more ways than you can count. I hope to pass this on to my kids some day, my undying want to help others.
