Why everyone should learn to cook

Everyone should learn how to cook because they need the skills for their future. Learning how cook is very useful; people can’t rely on junk food for the rest of their lives. People having too much junk food can cause cholesterol and lead to death.

Although learning how to cook can be messy but it could be fun you get to spend time with your parents and learn new skills in cooking. Having the knowledge too cook is very helpful you know what you put in your meals and not worrying what stuff or chemicals that people put in when you go out and buy food.

There are many ways you can learn how to cook you can go on the internet and search up easy recipes to follow for starters, other ways people can learn how to cook is by watching TV programs such as Master ChefMy Kitchen Rules or Jamie Oliver’s Five Minutes Meals.

Learning how to cook can be frustrating at times but there’re a positive side on learning how to cook you get to listen to music or to the radio when you’re in the kitchen. I think learning how to cook is a perfect skill to have and a very fun activity to do — Danny

I think everyone should learn how to cook. You need to eat to survive and you won’t always live with your parents. You can learn how to cook by doing a hospitality program.

I agree that everyone should learn to cook because it makes you become more reliable in the future. One day when your siblings are not around anymore you need to have the ability to take care of yourself not to starve. Also if you have a family in your future you would want to have a healthy homemade cooked meal for your partner when he gets home from a hard day at work. If you have young children that are toddlers you would want them to eat nutrition foods.

It’s not a good idea if a person has no intention of learning to cook because it’s a part of laziness and wouldn’t be healthy for you or your family. Foods like McDonalds, KFC, Red Rooster and many more contain a lot of greasiness and are normally deep fried. Eating these meals everyday isn’t healthy and nutritious and can cause high cholesterol or diabetic reasons on you and your family and it is quite expensive. Fresh foods from a supermarket are more value for your money, and you can also store some away for another day.

Buying takeaway every day uses a lot of your budget and adds up to a whole heap of money and you need to keep buying it. You could have it as a sometimes meal but not always. Its good to use your hands a lot in the kitchen because its more useful. My grandmother taught me how to cook some traditional dishesI’ve watched my grandmother cook since I was little. Including my Mum, she’s showed me how to cook some of her homemade recipes.

I used to learn how to cook some dishes from my cooking classes in year 8, 9 and 10. If you want to learn to cook you could get some cooking tips from your siblings. You could do some cooking classes or get a professional tutor that can teach you at home during your spare time. You could even take hospitality classes at school as well. You can watch cooking shows like Jamie Oliver, Master Chef, My Kitchen Rules or even Cake Boss if you want to learn how to make exquisite sweets–Melanie
