I agree that everyone should learn to cook because it makes you become more reliable in the future. One day when your siblings are not around anymore you need to have the ability to take care of yourself not to starve. Also if you have a family in your future you would want to have a healthy homemade cooked meal for your partner when he gets home from a hard day at work. If you have young children that are toddlers you would want them to eat nutrition foods.
It’s not a good idea if a person has no intention of learning to cook because it’s a part of laziness and wouldn’t be healthy for you or your family. Foods like McDonalds, KFC, Red Rooster and many more contain a lot of greasiness and are normally deep fried. Eating these meals everyday isn’t healthy and nutritious and can cause high cholesterol or diabetic reasons on you and your family and it is quite expensive. Fresh foods from a supermarket are more value for your money, and you can also store some away for another day.
Buying takeaway every day uses a lot of your budget and adds up to a whole heap of money and you need to keep buying it. You could have it as a sometimes meal but not always. Its good to use your hands a lot in the kitchen because its more useful. My grandmother taught me how to cook some traditional dishesI’ve watched my grandmother cook since I was little. Including my Mum, she’s showed me how to cook some of her homemade recipes.
I used to learn how to cook some dishes from my cooking classes in year 8, 9 and 10. If you want to learn to cook you could get some cooking tips from your siblings. You could do some cooking classes or get a professional tutor that can teach you at home during your spare time. You could even take hospitality classes at school as well. You can watch cooking shows like Jamie Oliver, Master Chef, My Kitchen Rules or even Cake Boss if you want to learn how to make exquisite sweets–Melanie
