The Covid-19 pandemic has drastically affected the world, causing over 50,000 deaths. With the number of coronavirus cases skyrocketing, search engine Google came up with a quirky doodle on Thurday to spread awareness about the pandemic. The colourful new doodle shares the message ‘stay home, save lives’.
The doodle shows animated letters of the word ‘Google’ engaged in different activities that one can take up within the confines of their homes.
While one immersed itself in reading, another played a guitar, and some talked to each other over a phone call.
On clicking the doodle, the user is redirected to a page that lists ways to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The webpage lists “Stay home”, “Keep a safe distance”, “Wash hands often”, “Cover your cough”, and “Sick? Call the helpline” as the steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
