Which is better, a heavy breakfast or light breakfast?

For me, it is not a question of heavy or light. If I have a heavy breakfast, I feel full and sluggish, whereas if I have a light breakfast I’m hungry after two hours!

The important thing is to get the right balance of starchy carbs (avoiding refined sugars!) to give you energy; protein to keep you feeling full and avoid sugar spikes; and micronutrients – vital vitamins and minerals that your body needs to keep energised, for you metabolism to work effectively and for the body to regenerate. Oatmeal, protein smoothies and chia pudding are my favourite breakfasts and I often combine them and add lots of fruit and superfood ingredients—–stay healthy stay good.
